Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

As a member of SKECHERS USA, Inc. IT team, this person will provide first and second level technical support on SKECHERS hosted EDI solution. They will respond to, and work directly with our customers, resellers, and internal business units to resolve transaction processing issues and provide technical support and assistance on our Inovis (formerly Harbinger TLE) EDI solution. In addition to their daily support responsibilities, they will also assist in the development of SKECHERS EDI Technical Support documentation and contribute to the ongoing design and enhancement of our internal processing system.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

 • Provide front-line customer support for all SKECHERS EDI related systems. Responding to contact from SKECHERS customers and resellers via phone and email.

• Coordinate with SKECHERS internal business units (customer service, compliance, distribution center personnel) to define EDI implementation plan for new and existing EDI transaction sets.

• Extensive troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Work closely with the IT development team to support and enhance software and system architecture.

• Assist in the ongoing augmentation of SKECHERS automation platforms and systems in effort to reduce processing times and improve overall efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Expert in GXS/Inovis/ Harbinger TLE in Windows or Unix.
• Must have precise knowledge of EDI transaction sets, 850, 860, 856, 810, 211, 214, 753, 754, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of translators and EDI related integration aspects.
• Ability to coordinate testing and deployment of EDI partner relationships.
• Experience with Value Added Networks (VANS) and mailboxes.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written.)
• Proven experience providing direct customer support including problem analysis, issue tracking, escalation and resolution.
• Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervision.
• Proven knowledge of EDI and XML standards (VICS, EDIFACT) and associated communication protocols.
• Knowledge of various network and internet technologies and communication protocols: TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, AS2, etc.
• Exposure to and basic understanding of relational databases.
• Extensive SQL and its practical uses in an IBM Informix or Oracle environments.
• Knowledge of the processes, practices and terminology of the following vertical areas: Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, etc.
• Unix and Linux experience.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years’ experience in senior application/software support role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
