Part-time office clerk – data dntry – RMA process job at SkyBell

As an extension of our customer service department and shipping function, your organization skills will be relied upon to help ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating timely product returns. 

Below are examples of what your daily routine may include: 

  • Your keen attention to detail will enable you to efficiently retrieve information and maintain accurate records through frequent and timely data entry throughout the entire product return process
  • Computer savviness will come in handy as you review return merchandise authorization forms (RMA) to record each transaction and tracking number on an Excel spreadsheet using Google docs functionality 
  • Upon data entry completion of customer name, address and RMA reference number into stamps.com online program, you will use MS Outlook email or WebMail exchange to finalize the RMA steps by creating a PDF format shipping label to be emailed to each customer 
  • Flexibility and a teamwork focus along with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will help you learn quickly and pitch in on occasion to aid fellow coworkers with additional customer service tasks
  • Your comfort working at a fast pace will be beneficial in our active environment where your time will be spent up and about, combined with computer related, desk based clerical responsibilities as you interface with accounting, customer service, shipping and operations colleagues 

NOTE: the above is a general framework for the position and not a complete list of accountabilities of this role. In other words, as a small and busy start-up involved with innovative technology, we have extra hats that you might be able to try on from time to time.

Our office operating hours are between 8:30-5:00 PM Monday through Friday. In this part-time role of approximately 20-30 hours per week, there may be flexibility for a preference of morning, mid-day or afternoon shifts* 

Pay rate: $12.00 per hour

Qualifications

  • Competent working with MS Office Suite – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Familiarity with Google docs and online file storage and sharing features
  • Internet proficiency including using shipping label tools such as stamps.com or similar applications
  • General office clerical, administrative and customer service skills  
  • Professional business communication skills demonstrating ability to produce written work free of grammatical errors, typos or misspellings 

*Initially this position will be classified as part-time, temporary with the potential for eventual temporary to regular hire conversion and up to a full-time 40 hour/week schedule.
