Job Description

Smarterer is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Product Manager to manage our suite of tools for activating crowdsourced assessment content.

The right individual will spearhead all efforts to understand the motivations, incentives, and needs of our crowd-sourced volunteer authors, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders and convert those into product requirements. The product manager will collaborate with the engineering and marketing teams to develop great products and clearly communicate their benefits. This role reports to the VP of Product.

Responsibilities

• Define vision for a consolidated assessment content platform and develop roadmap to realize that vision

• Identify and prioritize requirements for improving the authoring experience

• Work with Design, Engineering, and Content teams to test and deliver solutions

• Develop and maintain user personas for content authors

• Channel the voice of our authors and act as an evangelist of empathy and insight 

• Describe key product benefits and collaborate with marketing to communicate those benefits

• Become an expert at the landscape of existing assessment authoring tools




• 5 years product management experience, including articulating a product vision and developing associated roadmap

• Experience managing assessment platforms, content management systems, or tools used by internal team members is preferable

• Deep experience interviewing and observing customers to understand goals, behaviors, and attitudes

• Ability to drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups

• Experience working in an agile environment, either Scrum or Kanban

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• An outstanding work ethic, high-integrity, team player attitude.

Qualifications

• 5 years product management experience, including articulating a product vision and developing associated roadmap
