Job Description

The Test Portfolio Manager (TPM) will help the Smarterer content team achieve its goal of building and managing an evolving portfolio of high quality tests that resonate with our customers and meet their current and future assessment needs. The TPM will have two major areas of responsibility:

1. Managing the development and continuous improvement of tests in a wide variety of subject areas:

a. Ensuring the overall quality (as measured by the Test Quality Index) of tests in the portfolio.  

b. Managing the ongoing development of tests associated with one or more subject areas.

c. Identifying, developing and maintaining relationships with professional groups, associations, special interest groups or networks of professionals who can contribute to test development and maintenance. 

d. Identifying and qualifying and managing the resources associated with test development and continuous test improvement.


2. Creating and supervising a network of 10-20 contract resources, who will review new and existing test items:

a. Finalizing, implementing and improving all work processes 

b. Sourcing, qualifying, selecting and evaluating the performance of resources on the team

c. Ensuring that a sufficient number of resources always are available to meet review needs. 

d. Managing the test item workflow 

e. Ensuring that test item reviews are accurate, thorough and complete and are conducted quickly and efficiently 



Qualifications

Qualifications 


● Five to seven years of experience in roles that involve managing multiple, simultaneous projects, preferably with remote resources


● A background in training & development or education publishing desired; 


● Experience in a call center or a similar work environment and/or working with and/or supervising contract workers helpful 


● The ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, clients, consultants and others


● Bright, quick, structured thinker


● The ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, ever exciting startup environment


● A well developed sense of ownership and accountability


● Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.


● Ability to solve complex problems and garnering support from others to do so.


● An outstanding work ethic, high-integrity, team player attitude.
