Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineer II CAD Wet Seal to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying CAD designs for wet seal applications, contributing to the development of innovative sealing solutions for various industries.

Key Activities:

  • Reviewing the Drawing Office requests, establishing design requirements
  • Prepare Error Free General Arrangement and Manufacturing drawings in Solid Edge
  • To execute quality self-checks for General Arrangement and Manufacturing drawings
  • Process Global Change Notification
  • Maintain and submit monthly performance report to Sr Supervisor
  • Perform other duties as required in support of JC business objectives as set forth by Sr Supervisor
  • Technical discussions on design enhancements with Applications team
  • To execute quality checks for redrawn or legacy conversion drawings
  • To clarify the queries raised by manufacturing sites
  • Coach and motivate team members to improve performance

Key Accountabilities:

  • To meet and exceed the business expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery
  • To use Engineering tools and perform basic Engineering calculations as required
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Conduct RCA and prepare Corrective Actions according to SCAT (Systematic cause analysis technique)
  • To deliver accurate and timely drawing design support for Global Engineering offices across countries
  • To handle projects and Customer queries independently
  • Secondary point of contact for handling GCNs

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain good rapport with respective site technical offices
  • To promote and ensure “First Time Right” culture throughout the Drawing Office activities
  • Should actively contribute to Continuous Improvements in their day-to-day work

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience for B.E. graduates
    • Minimum 2 years of experience for Diploma holders (preferably in a design office dealing with precision components and assemblies)
  • Technical Skills: Working experience with any CAD software
