Job Description
Join our dynamic Finance team at John Crane Mexico Shared Service Centre and help us improve the world through smarter engineering. John Crane, a division of Smiths Group plc, is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Ledger Specialist. This position, based in the vibrant heart of Mexico City, is crucial to our financial operations across USA, Canada, Mexico and Ireland.
The job's day-to-day would be:
- Monthly prepation, quality checks and data flow of reporting package for consolidation to corporate
- Maintenance, accounting and reporting of balance sheet activities including forecasting
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Support to the management of the Balance Sheet
- Support in the preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts & estimates.
- Ensuring strict compliance with financial & business controls required by the Division/Group and external auditors.
- Support to Internal and External audits
- Support to the reporting and filing of returns for Income tax, Indirect Tax, VAT and local governmnt declarations
- Support to Shared Service Projects as required
Qualifications
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Corporate Finance
- Min. 3-5 yrs exp. in accounting, shared service center experience
- SAP knowledge or similar ERP is highly desirable
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Design mindset, proactive, self-motivated, passionate and team player.
- English level: B2 Required
