Our headquarters is located at the heart of downtown Chico, in beautiful Northern California. We’re also biking distance from just about anywhere in town. Our office is literally in an old “grand ballroom” on the 3rd floor of a 100-year-old building. It features 20-foot gold ceilings, huge windows, and tons of natural light.

The entire company gathers for "team time" each week to review company milestones, discuss the latest on cats, and spruce up the office. No one ever misses team time. No one. Ever... ever, ever.

Job Description

Social High Rise is looking for an exceptionally well-organized, energetic Administrative Assistant who loves to work with teams, and can handle loads of stress like nobody's business. We're a start-up, so naturally we live in utter chaos, where things change at the drop of a hat without warning, and where everyone must solve problems. We are looking for someone who is up to the challenge of bringing order to our universe with speed and precision. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to CEO and all department heads
  • Organize EVERYTHING
  • Work with bookkeeper to track and manage company expenses
  • Provide high-level human resources support under the direction of the CEO
  • Deliver exceptional customer service internally and with our clients, both over the phone and in person
  • Manage collection for accounts receivable
  • Manage payment for accounts payable
  • Data entry using all Microsoft Office applications, but mostly with Excel and Word
  • Oversee procurement of office supplies and equipment
  • Inventory management

Qualifications

  • Not afraid to fail
  • Comfortable trying new things
  • Blunt, candid, and assertive communication style (no BS)
  • Stellar work ethic (do we even need to mention this?)
  • Punctual
  • Understand basic formulas in Excel
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (not required, but preferred)
  • Open to playing on a company kickball team

Additional Information

This position is part-time (15-20 hrs/week), and has the potential to become full-time.
