Job Description

This position will be dedicated full time to a non-profit customer (Higher Education User Group). This position will encompass four main areas within the organization; Membership Service, Website, Communications, and Education Services.   

The position Implements the HEUG membership process, and communication process. Assists with HEUG.online support, including initial set up of new members. Will become very proficient in the use of HEUG.Online tools as it relates to member services including setting up surveys, communities, and polls. Will assist with and facilitate HEUG webinars. The following items consists of the major tasks this position will perform:

Membership Service tasks

  • Provide online member support as well as phone support
  • Interact with global members to facilitate translation process
  • Advisory Groups Support
  • Board Support
  • Other service related tasks requested by HEUG as delegated by Director of Membership Services
Website, Communications and Education Services tasks
  • Generate reports as needed 
  • Upload documentation to file library
  • Post to forums
  • Create communities as appropriate
  • Develop surveys as needed
  • Implement and maintain member update process on a quarterly basis

Communications

  • Generate reminder notices to PAG/TAG leaders
  • Implement the release of all social media
  • Generate monthly blogs 
  • Create targeted emails
  • Facilitate board calls and take meeting minutes

Education Services

  • Create training for new global members (webinars, documentation, etc.)
  • Create each webinar series
  • Train presenters on use of GoToWebinar and generate attendee reports/registration reports
  • Facilitate webinars
  • Organize File library for ease of use
  • Purge documents as appropriate to records retention policy
  • Promote webinars through social media

Other tasks as required by Director or Executive Director


Qualifications

Eligible candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree. 1-3 years of work experience highly desirable. Very strong interpersonal skills are required for this position. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are crucial. Candidate must be a team player with the ability to work with other staff members, vendors and the membership. Must be able to organize and coordinate multiple projects. Critical thinking and ability to work independently are necessary. Candidates must have intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and email. Some evening and weekend work may be required. This is a Salary, Non-Exempt position.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with experience using internet applications, SMS experience and with extensive social media experience, as well as bi-lingual candidates, speaking at least one of the following languages are highly encouraged to apply:

Benefits:

  • Socious covers the full cost of an employee's health and dental insurance.  Additional dependents and family coverage optional and at cost to employee.
  • Employees are eligible to participate in our 401k plan immediately.  Socious will match contributions at a rate of 100% of the first 3% of salary and 50% of the next 2% of salary.  All matching is vested immediately.
  • Employees accrue 8 hours of time off per month (12 days per year).  This time may be used for either sick days or vacation.  An additional 2 floating holidays are also granted. Socious observes 9 paid holidays each year (New Year’s Eve and Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, and Christmas Eve and Day).
