Job Description

Are you a creative sales person looking to be a part of a successful sales team?  We are looking for an Outbound Business Development Representative.

 Why are we looking for creative and entrepreneurial people? This is a new position and one where the daily activities and methods used will evolve over time. We need someone comfortable in that environment and creative in their thinking to help us make this position into the successful addition to our sales team we know it can be. This position will be responsible for:

• Prospecting into targeted association accounts through emails and phone calls to identify and qualify sales opportunities.

• Utilize social networks to research leads and identify opportunities.

• Managing the hand-off of leads to Account Executives who will be responsible for closing.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess this technical expertise, education, and experience:

• Experience with developing leads and scheduling appointments with sales prospects is required.

• Evidence that you are a Top Producer (as defined by production results that put you at the top 5% of your peers) and / or, Over Quota / President's Club type

• Experience with selling software and services to high ranking executives is preferred.

• 1-2 years of selling experience operating within a web technologies or innovative online product environment

• Experience in a BDR supported or cold-calling sales environment

• Computer proficiency: MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar suite is required. Experience with CRM systems.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Years of experience: 1 to 2 years is required.

Benefits:

  • Socious covers the full cost of an employee's medical, dental and vision insurance. Additional dependents and family coverage optional and at cost to employee.
  • Employees are eligible to participate in our 401k plan immediately. Socious will match contributions at a rate of 100% of the first 3% of salary and 50% of the next 2% of salary. All matching is vested immediately.
  • Employees accrue 8 hours of time off per month (12 days per year). This time may be used for either sick days or vacation. At any time, an employee may borrow up to 40 hours of future accruable paid time off. Socious observes 9 paid holidays each year (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve Day). Plus, two Floating Holidays to be used at your discretion.
