Socious is seeking an Association Technology Evangelist with deep ties to the nonprofit association community to drive awareness of Socious’s membership and online community software solutions for associations.

You will leverage your existing relationships and broad understanding of membership management, member engagement, dues collection, and association technology to grow Socious’s brand. Along with speaking at conferences, conducting online workshops, and creating educational content in an array of digital formats, you will also develop and nurture relationships with community leaders and influencers in the association arena.

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver impactful content at events and through online channels – including live workshops, videos, webinars, blog posts, podcasts, and social media.
• Develop relationships with industry partners and other experts to set up co-marketing opportunities including joint presentations, webinars, guest blogging, and other content.
• Provide product input and validation based on your experience and understanding of how associations operate.
• Help develop sales and marketing messages for Socious’s association management and community software platforms.
• Document customer success stories and produce social proof content.
• Actively participate in discussions among association professionals, both online and offline.
• Spearhead customer evangelism at Socious to help customers spread the word about Socious, grow the user group, and help customers feel like they are part of the Socious community.

• Knowledge of the technology landscape in the association industry
• Extensive experience with membership management, dues structures, association financial reporting, and association management software
• A deep understanding of the decisions, priorities, and challenges of managing an association at the executive level
• A sizable following and digital reach in the association industry
• Exceptional writing skills for educational and product content production
• Comfort speaking on camera, in front of an audience, on webinars, or via audio recording is a plus
• Experience with, or a willingness to learn, video, audio, and graphic production
• A deep understanding of how to grow a brand using social media including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
• A minimum of two years working for an association or nonprofit member-based organization
• Moderate travel is required (25%)

Benefits:

• Socious covers the full cost of an employee's medical, dental and vision insurance. Additional dependents and family coverage optional and at cost to employee.
• Employees are eligible to participate in our 401k plan immediately. Socious will match contributions at a rate of 100% of the first 3% of salary and 50% of the next 2% of salary. All matching is vested immediately.
• Employees accrue 8 hours of time off per month (12 days per year). This time may be used for either sick days or vacation. At any time, an employee may borrow up to 40 hours of future accruable paid time off. Socious observes 9 paid holidays each year (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve Day). Plus, two Floating Holidays to be used at your discretion.
