- New York, NY
Speakeasy is a communication consulting and executive development firm with offices in Atlanta, San Francisco and New York. Since 1973, we’ve been helping executives and their teams achieve greater business results through more effective communication internally, with their colleagues and externally, with their clients. Our individual clients include some of the most recognized business leaders in the world. Notable current clients include Accenture, Cisco, Ernst & Young, The Coca-Cola Company, State Farm Insurance, Microsoft, Centers for Disease Control, and Kimberly-Clark. Our clients are focused on the critical role powerful communication plays in transferring knowledge and vision, inspiring others, and ultimately, driving the bottom line.
We are seeking a Director of National Accounts with a minimum of two (2) years experience in business/client development. Acting as the primary point of contact to existing clients, this individual will be responsible for actively identifying new business opportunities with senior level decision makers. Responsibilities will include growth of an individual book of business; recommendation of approaches to meet clients’ business needs; and the development and execution of sales strategies and tactics.
We offer the opportunity to be part of an organization where you can make an impact and where the individual matters. Our firm understands the importance of a work-life balance which is reflected in things like mandatory winter and summer breaks, days dedicated to staff rejuvenation, and opportunities to focus on personal growth by attending the workshops we offer. Individuals who fit at Speakeasy are those looking for an escape from a corporate environment that has been culturally stressful; required extensive travel and little time with family; or placed minimal focus on the individual and their personal development.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in a business development or client interfacing role
- Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities, serve as a trusted advisor, and interface with executive level clients.
- Ability to uncover clients’ communication challenges/needs, align Speakeasy’s offerings, and articulate recommended solutions to senior-level and C-Suite clients across multiple disciplines/sectors.
- An executive presence with polished and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Undergraduate degree required.
Personal Attributes: The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, enterprising, and personable; demonstrating authenticity, an unwavering commitment to quality, and a passion for growth and development within oneself and others.
