Splice Machine one of the hottest startups in Big Data. With the only transactional RDBMS on Hadoop, Splice Machine is disrupting the traditional database market and moving Hadoop beyond analytics into real-time applications. We just recently received a $15M Series B from InterWest and Mohr-Davidow.

Design and implement solutions for customers based on Splice Machine’s cutting edge distributed database technology. Work with client IT organizations to maximize performance and scalability of Splice Machine installations. Serve as Splice subject matter expert to customer’s IT organizations.

REQUIRED:

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Java or C/C++
• SQL
• Experience developing and tuning RDBMS-based applications
• Strong client communication skills
• Willingness to travel

DESIRED:

• Distributed systems development experience (concurrent programming, parallel processing)
• Systems design experience for scaling/performance, low latency and high availability
• Developing and implementing systems using HBase and the Hadoop stack (or equivalent e.g. Tenzing, Dremel, Spanner, F1, etc.)
• NoSQL/SQL application development experience
