Job Description

You will:

  • Partner with Square’s product, engineering and operations teams to prioritize and answer the questions where analytics will have a material impact.

  • Use scientific rigor to optimize outcomes in payment acceptance, transaction costs, and product features.

  • Build self-service data tools that enable monitoring the health and performance of our core business.

  • Be the subject matter expert on payments data and communicate recommendations to decision makers.

  • Evangelize data best practices and act as an advocate of data driven culture across Square.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 2+ years of industry experience using data analytics to produce impactful insights in payment, product, marketing, or business roles

  • Experience driving cross-functional analytics projects from beginning to end: question formation, data model design, logging, ETL, validation, analysis, machine learning, visualization, and presentation

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex results to partners in verbal, visual, and written formats

  • Visualization (Tableau, Amplitude)

  • Version control (Bitbucket)
