The Square Finance team is looking to hire a Cost Accounting Manager based in San Francisco that will be an integral part of our growing team. This role will ensure that the manufacturing and global distribution of Square’s innovative hardware products are accounted for accurately. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You will:

• Partner with the hardware operations and business systems teams to build out supply chain and inventory enhancements in Oracle R12
• Continuously improve business processes, systems, and enhance documentation and controls as part of our SOX compliance efforts
  
• Prepare and Review month-end journal entries and supporting schedules related to Square’s international supply chain 
  
• Perform quarterly standard cost evaluation for all hardware product streams and propose revaluations as appropriate
  
• Perform actual vs forecast account analyses and present findings to the CAO and CFO
  
• Partner with Square’s Finance & Strategy team to investigate variances between actual results and forecasts
  
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors
• Manage physical inventory counts at contract manufacturers, distribution locations as well as 3rd party resellers globally

• Manage team of cost accountants and partner with 3rd party distribution locations and Square subsidiaries

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA a plus
• 8+ years of accounting experience
  
• Managed a team and actively participated in employee development and team goal setting/execution
  
• International supply chain and inventory experience within a large ERP system (i.e., Oracle, SAP) - implementation experience a plus
  
• Previous role(s) should include internal or external audit, or cost accounting
• Passion for Square. Strong interest in technology / knowledge of the industry
• Tech savvy, strong at excel - SQL experience a plus
  
• Oracle R12 experience a plus
