Job Description

Square is looking for a talented and organized Global Mobility Specialist to support over 1700 Squares (and growing!) across the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia. As a member of the People team, you’ll be responsible for driving initiatives across our organization.  

We are looking for a dynamic specialist who will help support our rapid growth in mobility and other benefits program initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands on, wearing multiple hats, and interacting with people. You are organized, detail-orientated, and know when to be flexible. The ideal candidate has done this before and can anticipate what needs to be done rather than be instructed. This role is a great opportunity to be at the heart of the financial & tech services industry. Work in multi-functional HR department with potential for internal mobility opportunities.

You will:

  • Work with relocation, tax and benefits information, which represents key aspects of the full life cycle of an international assignment
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely within established Immigration/Mobility processes and provide to relevant parties. Including but not limited to PERM initiation form, Employee Data Sheets, LCA (Labor Condition Application) coordination, Business Sponsorship applications or I-9 revivification
  • Support development and ongoing administration of Global Assignment Policies (Long-term, Short-term, Commuter, Localization)
  • Monitor and track assignee questions, policy exceptions and vendor service issues
  • Partner with HR Coordinators to ensure work authorizations are in compliance
  • Properly handle incoming emails from immigration alias forward to appropriate parties as needed
  • Interface with managers, third party vendors, HR Teams and transferees as needed to complete all required documentation for the administration of the mobility process.
  • Source, manage and implement Square relocation vendor
  • Generate reports and analyze data as requested; retain copies of all assignment transfer and documentation

Qualifications

You have:

  • 2-5 years of previous HR/Benefits experience, Global Mobility and/or Immigration 
  • Experience using HR system(s)
  • Basic knowledge of Benefits and HR Compliance
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data 
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written
  • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
