Job Description

Our mission is to help merchants grow their business by giving them tools to know, support, engage, and acquire their customers. Our product suite includes CRM, omni-channel marketing (e.g. email, social, advertising), feedback and messaging, loyalty and rewards. Square offers a seamless and simple solution that saves them time and eliminates the uncertainty and stress of marketing their business.

You Will:

  • Work closely with product management, design and internal teams to understand needs and develop solutions to improving operations and end-user experience

  • Work with product teams to develop new features and services.

  • Develop scalable product architecture.

  • Build systems and services that have immediate impact on our partners and customers.

  • Visit merchants to see the product(s) in action

Qualifications

You have:

  • Knowledge of CS fundamentals and code organization

  • (6+ years) full stack engineer experience or equivalent

  • Past experience mentoring or leading

  • Expertise with product oriented server work

  • Expertise with highly scalable relational storage systems

  • Experience defining complex data models and related search functionality

  • Detail oriented, thorough testing practices

  • A strong sense of customer empathy and desire to influence the product direction


Technologies we use and teach:


  • Go, Java, RPC, MySQL, Service oriented architectures

  • Testing frameworks like (QUnit, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.).
