Job Description

Square's Operations Analyst is a hybrid of traditional jobs in sales strategy, planning, operations and financial analysis. In this role you will need to synthesize insights through the vast amount of data captured by Square, and develop actionable strategies and programs that will help grow our sellers and their engagement with us. You are expected to collaborate with key stakeholders, external experts, and deliverables will be in the form of driving execution on your recommendations.

The successful candidate will possess a passion for innovative analysis, developing processes that scale, and the wherewithal to develop findings and recommendations that transcend the numbers. Ideally, this person will have recently worked at a top-tier management consultancy, in a senior sales operations management role, or other similar roles, and will feel comfortable interacting with senior management on a regular basis.

You will:

  • Drive the design and implementation of key go-to-seller engagement programs - both high touch and scaled interactions

  • Develop & deliver performance analysis and program recommendations for senior executives on a daily basis

  • Work with internal business and technical partners across the company to design creative tools and solutions to improve operations of the Seller Growth team

  • Create and productize analytics required to drive improvements in our business

  • Interact regularly with the stakeholders across all areas of the company

Qualifications

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an analytical discipline such as engineering, computer science, or economics

  • 2-3 years of work experience in consulting, sales operations, finance, and/or product management is desired

  • Expert quantitative analysis and logical reasoning; deep experience with analytical (Excel, R), database (SQL) or visualization tools (Tableau)

  • Development experience with Python, Ruby, etc. a strong plus

  • Creativity in developing actionable analysis and recommendations

  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up environment

  • Nice to have: experience working in a small business and experience growing high growth Web/SaaS businesses
