Job Description

You will:

  • Partner with Square’s Communications and Investor Relations teams to tell Square’s story through data.

  • Use your experience with analytics tools and scientific rigor to produce newsworthy insights.

  • Investigate trends in our business including seller usage patterns, payment volume, seasonal fluctuations, buyer decisions, and regional and vertical performance.

  • Collaborate with Design team on creative data journalism projects that highlight Square’s sellers.

  • Be the subject matter expert on data storytelling and communicate recommendations to decision makers.

  • Evangelize data best practices and act as an advocate of data driven culture across Square.

Qualifications

You have:

  • 2+ years of industry experience using data analytics to produce impactful insights in payment, product, marketing, communications or business roles.

  • Experience driving cross-functional analytics projects from beginning to end: question formation, data exploration, statistical analysis, visualization, and presentation.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex results to partners in verbal, visual, and written formats.

  • Ability to self-prioritize and work in collaboration with multiple Communications managers as a front-line analytics partner.
