Brand Manager

  • Full-time

Company Description

We believe everyone should be able to participate and thrive in the economy. So we’re building tools that make commerce easier and more accessible to all. We started with a little white credit card reader but haven’t stopped there. Our new reader helps our sellers accept chip cards and NFC payments, and our Cash app lets people pay each other back instantly. We’re empowering the independent electrician to send invoices, setting up the favorite food truck with a delivery option, helping the ice cream shop pay its employees, and giving the burgeoning coffee chain capital for a second, third, and fourth location. Let’s shorten the distance between having an idea and making a living from it. We’re here to help sellers of all sizes start, run, and grow their business—and helping them grow their business is good business for everyone.

Job Description

Our focus has long been on building financial services for businesses and individuals alike. We built Square Cash to provide a quick and easy way to send money to anyone, and today it ranks among the most populars apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play. As our customer base continues to grow, we see an opportunity to re-evaluate how the service appears to a wider consumer base and ensure that our brand resonates with the right audiences.

  • Drive cross functional marketing projects from beginning to end: build relationships with partner teams, frame and structure campaigns, collect and analyze data, as well as summarize and present key insights in support of decision making

  • Partner with Square Cash’s product and operations teams to identify and prioritize the most important audiences to target to drive awareness about the brand

  • Research the marketplace to determine where the product fit and target customers (including analyzing competitive positioning, products, brands, prudent investment and spending)

  • Drive brand awareness through influential and experimental mediums (paid and organic), monitoring social media conversations about the brand, tracking relevant trends, and creating buzz that reaches Cash customers through the channels they engage with

  • Lead the Square Cash brand image and define, express, and engage this brand through innovative campaigns, customer communications, and design

  • Set high-level brand strategy and execute campaigns that highlight the strength of our business, the depth of our team, and the company’s greater strategy around financial services for individuals

  • Serve as a spokesperson on crucial media interactions, and collaborate with the communications team on crisis communications and relevant issues that could impact the product or larger corporate narrative
