Job Description

Square’s interactive marketing team designs and produces digital experiences across web, email, paid advertising, app stores, and social media. Responsible for all of the interactive marketing Square produces, the team handles a large volume of work.

We’re looking for a junior- to mid-level project manager to help guide projects through the workflow: kickoff, concepting, design, copywriting, localization, review, production design, engineering, and QA.

This role requires interfacing with a wide array of disciplines and teams across the company, which often have competing desires. As such, strong people skills, organization, and knowledge of marketing mediums is key.

    • Project scoping, scheduling, resourcing, and tracking of projects

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Comfort managing many projects at once

    • Ability to devise solutions in challenging and unclear circumstances

  • Sensibilities

    • Willingness to push back and make executive decisions, using good judgment and business and team priorities

    • Sensitivity for maintaining and shaping a brand through digital experiences

    • Understanding of UX principles and effective messaging

  • Experience

    • Experience with one or more: web technology (HTML, CSS, responsive design); email marketing; paid digital advertising

    • Familiarity with the image production process

    • Preferred: Experience with multi-language/multi-country projects

    • Preferred: Familiarity with the technology product development process

    • Preferred: Experience with project-tracking tools like JIRA
