Job Description

Square is looking for a high-energy, driven professional with sound business insight and natural sales instincts to establish our sales team in London. You will lay the foundation of this sales effort through prospecting sellers and articulating the value of Square for their business.

The successful candidate will have experience driving cross-functional internal teams, will be comfortable dealing with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment, and will be able to put structure to nebulous, unstructured problems. You are highly entrepreneurial and have the ability to thrive under minimal guidance. We are looking for an individual that has a breadth of functional experience in client facing roles.

You will:

  • Master the Square Platform product capabilities and value to drive client conversations

  • Respond to inbound enquiries across a range of account sizes as well as proactively reach out to additional suitable businesses

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly sales forecasting and other sales leadership activities whilst consistently exceeding sales goals

  • Lead in developing and circulating the set of best practices which are the foundation of this growing team

  • Experience of being part of a cross-functional team to work with teams including finance and risk to finalise deal terms

  • Listen to the needs of the market and share with Product and Marketing teams

  • Implement creative ways to improve our customer relationships, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions

  • Act as an outward-facing ambassador of Square’s beliefs, brand, and products

Qualifications

You have:

  • 4-5+ years sales, business development, or a partnership related role

  • Preferred for individual to have experience working in a B2B sales type role in finance or technology

  • Critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities

  • Strong presentation skills and comfort with delivering technical and value conversations

  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Aptitude to translate complexity into simple and intuitive conversations

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
