Job Description

The Operations Lead is an organized, cross-functionally savvy, data-driven individual who will play a key role in the continued growth of the Bay Area markets for Caviar. You will lead a team of Operations Managers that are focused on recruitment, orientation, turnout and overall fleet management. You’ll work closely with the Local Team and cross-functionally with our National Operations and Product teams to innovate and improve systems, tools and processes. You will also be tasked with relaying learnings to broader groups in a concise manner.

You communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and are solution oriented. You are a highly analytical, a strong people manager, and strategic thinker. Most importantly, you have a growth mindset and are always looking for ways to improve yourself, your team and the company.

Qualifications

You will:

  • Be responsible for the recruiting, orientation and turnout for Caviar’s courier fleet in the Bay Area Markets
  • Be a key stakeholder cross-functionally with all courier initiatives
  • Define, develop and implement/iterate on processes that are used on the local and national level
  • Manage a team of Operations Managers and cultivate a high-performing culture
  • Proactively take the lead on initiatives to help achieve company objectives
  • Decide which projects the team should prioritize and take a data-driven approach to testing new ideas

You have:


  • 3-6+ years working in an operations, business intelligence, strategy or management consulting role
  • 1+ years of people management experience
  • Excellent Excel/Google sheets abilities. SQL experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A solution oriented mindset
  • The skill-set to work cross-functionally to accomplish tasks, projects and solve problems to achieve company objectives
  • A desire to understand how all parts of the Caviar business works
  • A desire to constantly increase your scope and responsibilities
  • A self-starter mentality
  • Experience working on a marketplace/on-demand product is a plus
