Job Description

As our business continues to grow at a very fast pace, we are looking to recruit, manage, and retain a reliable, professional courier fleet. Our couriers are the best in the business and are on the front lines of our mission. We need you to help us keep them engaged, motivated, and supported.

We are looking for a dynamic community builder with logistics experience to manage local courier operations. This will be a highly tactical role focused on maintaining the day-to-day courier experience in our NYC metro markets, with an emphasis on retention, communications, courier orientation, and support. This role is ideal for a cross-functional hustler who is resourceful and capable of quickly digesting a challenge and owning action items to accomplish their mission. Candidates who are detail-oriented with strong people-skills, excellent written communication, analytical minds, critical thinking abilities, and experience working within a data-driven framework will be the best fit for this job.

Qualifications

You will:

  • Build a courier community
  • Plan courier appreciation events.
  • Keep couriers engaged with regular weekly communications (e.g. email newsletters).
  • Conduct weekly office hours for Couriers involving administrative support, orientation support, and more.
  • Recruit a high-quality courier fleet
  • Manage the applicant funnel and make suggestions to optimize orientation processes.
  • Manage equipment inventory and distribution to couriers, and maintain equipment storage unit
  • Drive reliable courier turnout
  • Monitor logistics in real-time, especially during peak hours, and work with National operations and the NYC metro logistics team to respond to challenges and ensure we get adequate courier supply to meet demand.
  • Proactively plan for holidays and other disruptions and help Dispatch team execute the plan.
  • Conduct analyses to suggest and implement weekly and real-time incentives.
  • Support the NY logistics team in critical administrative tasks: courier support, bonus processing, quality audits, etc.

You have:

  • Excellent communication skills. You can communicate easily with all our stakeholders via verbal and written channels. You feel confident generating a high volume of content and operating within well-defined style guidelines.
  • A demonstrated ability and desire to think and act like an owner. You can quickly digest an objective and take ownership over the action items to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities where you can point to specific projects to show how you took unstructured data and developed recommendations.
  • A desire to hustle! Working smart with a relentless drive to improve existing processes is essential to success in this role. You are a scrappy and resourceful worker who gets the job done no matter the obstacles.
  • Strong detail orientation and organization skills. We are supporting thousands of couriers and you will need to be an excellent prioritizer to organize and accomplish your workload.
