Job Description

Square is looking for high-energy, driven professionals passionate about working with merchants across all aspects of their business to join, and help build, our Toronto team as an Account Manager.


You will be responsible for reaching out to Square customers on a day to day basis, and help them with the optimal combination of Square products and features to help them achieve their business goals. Your passion and knowledge helps merchants get the most out of their Square accounts through product education, business advice and introducing new features. Your extraordinary communication skills help you connect with customers by email and phone - quickly establishing trust and rapport.



You will:

  • Manage a book of business of Square's largest Canadian sellers

  • Understand customer needs to help achieve their business goals through Square

  • Cross sell and upsell products and features to current Square customers

  • Effectively and strategically address customer concerns and issues

  • Work with our Sales, Support and Product teams to make sure customers have the best possible experience across all aspects of Square

  • Implement creative ways to improve our customer relationships, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions

  • Act as an outward-facing ambassador of Square’s beliefs, brand, and products

  • Communicate constantly with customers via phone & email


Qualifications

You have:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or similar client-facing role

  • A basic understanding of Square’s features and products

  • High degree of comfort speaking with customers via phone

  • Passion and knowledge about how new technologies can help better serve small and medium size businesses

  • Strong interest in business operations and strategy

  • Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Coachability, interest in implementing feedback, and dedication to the consistent improvement of your craft

  • The ability to adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus

  • French language skills a plus
