Square Capital is addressing a major pain point for small businesses - how to get the funding needed to run and grow their business. We started by offering Capital to Square sellers and have extended over $1.5B in funding to over 100,000 sellers in the last 3 years. Sellers cite ease of application, clear terms and fast funding as the reasons they choose Square Capital, and continue to give us industry-leading Net Promoter Scores in the high 70s. We are now building a lending platform that will bring the same experience that Square sellers have come to love to any small business that needs Capital. With nearly 30M small businesses in the US, the opportunity for Square Capital to scale beyond Square sellers is enormous.

Job Description

We believe that by developing partnerships with other B2B service providers, we can leverage unique data and a seamless integration to broaden the availability of our lending products to small businesses everywhere. Rather than requiring business owners to seek us out, we will come to them where they are already doing business and make the lending experience easy, fast and transparent. As Lead Product Manager of Capital Partnerships, you will develop the product strategy and define how to expand Square Capital’s business outside of it’s Square seller base. You will work with engineers, business development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to drive innovation and build a lending platform that scales to thousands of partners and millions of small business customers. Qualifications

You Will:

  • Own and drive the product strategy for our Partnerships lending platform

  • Drive the tactics and delivery timelines for the work required to drive growth

  • Work with our executive leadership team as well as leaders across Business Development, Product, Marketing, Sales, Support, and Legal to grow our partner channel and customer base

  • Develop innovative products that uniquely serve the funding needs of small business customers of our platform partners

  • Build, manage and mentor a growing team of product and program managers in order to achieve individual and team goals

  • Inspire your cross-functional peers in order to build a strong partnership in delivering excellent products and services

  • Influence key stakeholders in order to align vision, resources and prioritization


You Have:

  • Experience shaping and driving key strategies that have shaped the product portfolio of a company or organization

  • Experience driving growth initiatives that require deep data analysis and insights as well as working through seams and removing friction

  • Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs

  • Navigated product scale challenges in a high growth environment

  • Managed a high performing team that consistently delivers

  • Developed industry leading products that have gained a strong followership and product loyalty

  • Served as an evangelist for a product group
