Job Description

Caviar is looking for a Business Operations Manager to fill a crucial role on the national operations team, which includes our support, logistics, and onboarding teams. This person will partner with leaders across Caviar to develop operations strategy, processes, and tools which maximize customer happiness, team happiness, and operational efficiency. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about both the strategy and execution of improving internal and external customer experience.

You will take responsibility for driving projects from inception to delivery. The role is analytical and there is enormous opportunity to be proactive about identifying new opportunities and developing innovative insights from Caviar’s data. You are not simply providing recommendations - the role extends to execution, where you will collaborate with stakeholders and dive in yourself to ensure projects are completed.

The successful candidate will possess a wide range of skills from strong analytical problem-solving to experience managing complex operational projects and finally delivering results cross-functionally. Ideally, this person will have recently worked at a top-tier management consultancy, or within operations/analytics within tech companies.

Qualifications

  • Work experience: 4+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, operations management, or similar field
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required with a major in an analytical field preferred; MBA preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong analytical skills: You love to break down large, ambiguous problems, and translate them into specific recommendations and execution
  • Gets things done: You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and diving in. You understand that getting results sometimes means doing unglamorous work. You identify and remove blockers. You have the judgment to execute autonomously
  • Prioritization: You have a knack for 80/20 and can give a 1-day, 1-week, and 1-month answer
  • Communication: You have a proven record of building strong cross-functional relationships with junior and senior colleagues. You are trusted to lead presentations to senior leadership
  • Growth mindset: You are always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company
  • Passion: You have a deep love of amazing food and restaurants, and a strong interest in the on-demand space
