Job Description

Square is looking for a passionate and results-oriented leader to continue to build out our sales team for the UK. You will be responsible for determining Square’s upmarket sales strategy and developing high-performance teams to execute against this strategy. You will develop processes, tools, systems and metrics to scale the teams and your leadership will directly drive revenue against our annual sales quotas. This role reports directly to our Head of the UK.

This is a senior role requiring a strong background in sales management and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience both building and leading sales teams, and has a strong track record of successfully working in cross-functional organisations. They will feel comfortable interacting with senior management and external partners, & will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

You will:

  • Create the vision for sales growth in our London office and lead our teams in execution

  • Coach and motivate your team to exceed targets (financial, customer satisfaction, operational)

  • Build predictable and repeatable sales funnel processes and best practices

  • Analyse performance to identify biggest opportunities for improvement and drive execution leading to real business results

  • Partner with cross functional teams across Sales Ops, Finance, Product, Marketing and Risk to remove obstacles and close deals

  • Be the voice of the customer and engage with Product teams to drive product improvements

  • Work closely with our global sales teams to leverage best practices and share learnings

Qualifications

You have:

  • Extensive prior experience leading a metrics-driven sales organisation

  • Background in high transaction volume SaaS/financial services a major benefit

  • Preferably experience scaling a sales team

  • Passion for small businesses and how new technologies can improve performance

  • Ability to influence C-level executives as well as passionate small business owners

  • Deep understanding of key sales KPIs & metrics and levers that impact performance

  • Strong analytical capabilities and high comfort level running Salesforce reports and analyses  

  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and departments

  • A hungry, infectious personality: we’re looking for someone determined and able to win

  • Critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic environment

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
