Job Description

Caviar’s Markets Team works to design, analyze, and implement strategies that enable us to scale efficiently. Our analytics team works to support teams across the organization, covering everything from growth strategy to product analytics to sales operations, in addition to building and maintaining the data infrastructure that lets Caviar run smoothly and make data-driven decisions.

We’re searching for an analyst to join our team to enable us to provide even more robust analytics support as we scale. You’ll serve as a data expert, reporting guru, and insights engine as you partner with teams and leaders across the company to unlock growth across our markets and impart a lasting impact on our operations. You’ll gain experience with many aspects of our business and will have the opportunity for ownership over analytics initiatives -- in this role you’ll be expected to not only report on data, but to make recommendations and provide actionable insights to improve our business. We’re looking for someone hungry for hands-on experience, eager to quickly develop new skills as needs arise, and willing to take ownership of new projects.

Qualifications

You will:

  • Help drive the growth of Caviar by leveraging data and analytic expertise; use data to derive actionable insights across our business.

  • Partner with growth, sales, product, and other teams to understand business needs, conduct in-depth analyses, and make strategic recommendations.

  • Become a subject matter expert for Caviar data and act as an analytics resource for other teams.

  • Develop a deep understanding of how our teams collect & apply data, and make recommendations for improving current processes.

  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards and continue to improve other key data infrastructure components, including ETLs.

  • Develop new analytic tools or models to enable teams & managers to make faster, smarter business decisions.

You have:

 

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and/or 3+ years of proven experience working with large data sets and performing deep-dive analyses to deliver actionable insights.

  • Ability to apply strong business judgement to quantitative analyses and to communicate results clearly.

  • Ability to collaborate and manage projects across multiple teams at once.

  • Expert knowledge of SQL and Excel/Sheets; experience with statistical modeling languages such as R or Python a plus.

  • Experience with data infrastructure management a plus.

  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, GitHub, Airflow, and/or Vertica a plus.

  • Interest and aptitude for quickly ramping up on new skills/tools as needed.
