The Hardware Engineer Program Manager is responsible for the technical management and support of Hardware development projects within Square. As the EPM, you will help manage and lead a cross functional team of skilled EE, SW and ME engineers, driving schedules and communicating risks and priorities. You will drive day to day activities with our manufacturing partners and the engineering teams with the top level project goals in sight at all times. The EPM role is highly technical. The HW EPM will utilize a solid ME/EE/CE background to understand technical details of cross-functional issues and risks. This will enable you to set the proper priorities and put risk mitigation plans in place.

You Will:

• Work cross-functionally with the internal engineering and program management team and Square's manufacturing partners to ensure new products are successfully developed through to production

• Build strong relationships with CM’s to ensure deliverables are on track and all engineering requirements are being met.

• Work alongside the hardware engineering team during development to prepare for EVT, DVT, PVT & ramp. This includes: factory support & build-readiness prep

• Work closely with the engineering, quality, and product teams to identify risks and support validation efforts

• Drive first and second tier suppliers, integrate their deliverables and schedules into the project

• Communicating status and the big picture to the program and engineering teams

• Provide onsite EPM support for NPI builds

You Have:

• BS ME/EE/CE degree.

• 5+ years of industry experience.

• 5+ years of project management experience.

• Excellent communication skills verbally and written

• Experience with consumer electronics devices.

• Strong technical background

• Experience in setting up project schedules and breaking down engineering work.

• Ability to travel to Contract Manufacturing partners to support builds on site.
