Job Description

Square is looking for high-energy, driven professionals with sound business insight and natural sales instincts to join and help build our Sales Development organization. You will act as a brand ambassador for Square, identifying and qualifying prospective sellers while articulating the value of Square for their business.

As a successful Sales Development Representative, you will leverage insights and product knowledge to educate customers and assist in solving problems. You are able to understand how Square’s ecosystem of products can adapt to fit many types of businesses. You will work with Square sellers of all sizes, from small family run businesses to strategic partnerships for Square.

You will be trained on all aspects of the Sales organization and surrounded by driven sales people who are passionate about their job, competitive by nature, and who will achieve and often exceed their quotas. You will actively participate in the development of our sales process, the articulation of our value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.


You will:

  • Rapidly respond to marketing-driven inbound leads

  • Quickly determine which customers are good product fits for Square

  • Prioritize your pipeline for maximum efficiency on a daily basis

  • Learn to sell effectively in a dynamic, innovative, fast-paced environment

  • Understand complex enterprise business requirements and help craft custom solutions

  • Gain extensive sales experience working closely with our Account Executive team

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Square and create a fantastic first impression with our Sellers

Qualifications

You have:

  • A BA/BS degree

  • A feedback-driven, positive attitude

  • Experience in a client-facing or sales role

  • A strong desire to grow your career in sales

  • An assertive, resilient and persuasive personality

  • Intellectual curiosity, hunger, grit and a lack of self-entitlement

  • The ability to multi-task and consistently manage deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

  • The ability to quickly learn new systems and processes

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

  • No reservations communicating over the phone
