Job Description

The Partner Enablement role is responsible for creating and executing scalable on-boarding programs that benefit Square and Square’s Partners. You will be primarily focused on helping our Partnerships organization sell-through our partners’ products into Square’s merchant base, working very closely with Square’s Sales and Marketing teams. You will become an expert on our partners’ products, and be competent with training our internal Square Sales teams on how to market and sell partner products. This is an exciting opportunity working with Square partners across omnichannel commerce ecosystem. You will secondarily be responsible for helping our partners sell Square’s products into their customer bases. This will require a knowledge of Square’s products and value propositions.

This is a critical role on the partnerships team, and you will be required to have a good mix of abilities that include: ability to understand and explain multiple products’ value propositions, strong communication and presentation skills to create and own training programs, an ability to be a confident public speaker and product expert, and a desire to drive for significant growth in our business. 

 

You will:

  • Be a liaison between Business Development, Partner Management, Product Management, and Sales

  • Create a Partner Enablement Roadmap and help ensure that new partners are engaged in activities outlined in the roadmap

  • Monitor, document and communicate Partner Sales & Enablement progress to partners

  • Work closely with partners and product marketing teams to strategically deliver product training, assets, and collateral during product releases and updates

  • Assist with partner recruiting

  • Operate with little oversight, be an executor, and be able to drive excitement and consensus across variety of teams across Square

  • Lead and grow a small team

  • Leads Change: Successful record of leading organizational change. Passion for helping others succeed, especially in a sales-specific or business related function. Dedicated to helping other improve, find purpose in the day-to-day, and coaching others

  • Fantastic public speaker. Inspirational and motivational: comfortable delivering trainings, speaking engagements, hosting events, and managing a classroom filled with diverse background and unique content

  • Ability to drive and manage cross-functional initiatives at scale

  • 6 + year sales experience and/or Partner Enablement experience, preferably with a successful track record of managing people and/or project teams
