Job Description

Square is looking for an extraordinary performance marketer to help drive new user growth through Paid Media Channels. As a member of the Canada Marketing Team, you’ll be responsible for helping build and manage campaigns across a variety of digital channels, working with cross functional teams to support Square’s core payments business, and SaaS products. This is an excellent role for candidates that have 5+ years of relevant experience and are excited about using their skills alongside a strong marketing team to build one of the strongest brands in Fintech within Canada.

You will:

  • Help support acquisition campaigns on offline and online channels including Search, Display, Mobile, TV, and Direct Mail

  • Direct and manage agencies to achieve goals and ROI targets Manage Social Media advertising using performance goals that drive new user adoption

  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of reports, budgets, campaign performance, ROI, LTV, and other channel metrics.

  • Use a process of testing to prove hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations

  • Use a data driven approach to manage campaigns and derive insights on strategy and performance.

  • Help support weekly and monthly reporting of channel metrics, goals, and other KPI’s.

  • Monitor web analytics dashboards and key reporting tools, pointing out key areas of importance

  • Communicate weekly updates, progress reports, timelines, and results.

  • Write creative briefs to define program objectives and KPIs, optimizing campaigns to maximize ROI.

  • Work closely with the other teams and stakeholders to ensure acquisition goals are met.

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 5+ years in online performance marketing campaign management, with agency-side experience highly valued

  • A deep understanding of the key metrics and levers available to drive performance marketing optimisations and cost-per-acquisition improvements, particularly in AdWords and Facebook

  • An analytical mindset with a strong grasp of web analytics, A/B testing, and metrics-driven marketing

  • Strong analytical ability and advanced Excel skills, with SQL experience a nice to have

  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere

  • Creativity in developing actionable analysis and recommendations and problem-solving

  • Self-starter attitude and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

  • An ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up environment

  • Insatiable curiosity to find a better way to market to potential customers online

  • Proven track record of delivering efficient and ROI positive marketing spend
