We’re looking for experienced designers to join our team in San Francisco. As an Interactive Designer, you’ll be responsible for crafting beautiful experiences for the web. We pride ourselves in finding simplicity, structure and meaning in a complex and ever-evolving product ecosystem. On a day to day basis, you’ll collaborate with the rest of the design team to launch initiatives across all aspects of the company, including Square’s software, hardware, and services. You’ll actively contribute to product strategy, and be able to work across product teams, brand, marketing, and business to create the best interactive experiences for our merchants around the world.

You have:
- Deep knowledge of grid systems, typography, composition, and layout
- Firm grasp of information architecture and content strategy
- Solid understanding of the nuances of web technologies across browsers and devices
- Ability to elegantly push the boundaries of the web through adaptive design and progressive enhancement
- Proficient in interaction design, motion, and prototyping
- Ability work within and skillfully extend Square's design system and brand
- Comfortable iterating quickly and communicating ideas across various levels of fidelity
- Collaborate effectively with engineers
- Solid communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- 4 year design (or related) degree is preferred

Even better:
- Experience with photography and motion graphics
- Experience with both product and communications design
