Job Description

As a Product Analyst on Customer Success at Square, you’ll design, build, and operationalize systems and processes to measure and track the impact of our new Customer Success initiatives. We are looking for someone to join our team that is interested in exploring data to define and communicate actionable metrics that drive Customer Success roadmaps.

As the Customer Success Product Analyst you will leverage analytical and project management skills to drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout Square’s Customer support organization.

You will:

  • Manage top-level KPIs, establish core product metrics, and drive process improvements through data analysis
  • Develop ETLs and dashboards to track a customer’s journey through our Customer Success products
  • Design and help facilitate customer facing A/B tests 
  • Work hand in hand with Square’s Operations Data Science team and partner closely with many teams across the business -- e.g., engineering, operations, finance and more 
  • Effectively present and communicate metrics/results to stakeholders in order to inform business decisions

Qualifications

  • A BS/BA in Operations Research, Management Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of industry experience in product related analytics
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with designing and creating data visualizations (e.g. Tableau, Looker)
  • A high attention to detail and a willingness to fully understand the underlying data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-prioritize and work in collaboration with multiple product managers, engineering managers and marketing managers as a front-line analytics partner

Even better:

  • Experience with ETL management tools, such as Airflow
  • Experience with scripting and data analysis programming languages (e.g. Python, R)
  • Experience in Customer Support and/or project management
  • Ability to answer unstructured business questions and work independently to drive projects to conclusion
  • Experience working with early stage products on data model design, data logging, and data validation
