Job Description

The Square Marketing team works to acquire new Square sellers through self-service and lead generation campaigns and strategies. In this role, you will help build robust lead generation programs to support our growing sales organization. Owned efforts will include email and syndication programs, lead qualification from phone+web, email and landing page copy, and database management. You’ll oversee the growth our database of addressable prospective leads -- working to build out automated marketing programs to warm and nurture upper funnel leads through sales activation. This role requires a strong understanding of marketing automation systems, lead scoring, and routing rules. You’ll work cross functionally with paid, local, SEO and retail marketing channels to help drive incremental value out of existing programs. At Square, we are data-driven in everything we do. You Will:

  • Grow prospect database of addressable leads, and ensure database cleanliness against existing/former customer databases

  • Define and implement automated and one-off or multi-tiered email campaigns to nurture prospective leads down the conversion funnel

  • Assist with the oversight of all marketing automation programs -- including marketing scoring models, nurturing flows and rules, and company-wide best practices

  • Write creative briefs and manage content and creative asset development, and manage the development of landing pages, emails, programs and other marketing collateral via marketing automation platform

  • Work closely with Sales Operations and cross-functional marketing teams to execute large-scale demand and lead generation programs

  • Contribute to an editorial calendar that aligns with business goals for key products

  • Help measure and analyze content performance to inform ongoing content strategy

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 2-4 years of post-university work experience and a BA/BS in a related field such as business, marketing or communications

  • A love of data and can analyze a marketing funnel; you can identify and size different growth opportunities and the various ways to meet them

  • First-hand, in-depth experience with Marketo, Salesforce and marketing operations

  • Experience working closely with a sales team

  • Experience working cross-functionally with creatives, engineers, analysts and product managers

  • An energetic and willing attitude

  • Experience in B2B or Fintech marketing

  • Marketo and Salesforce experience

  • Copywriting experience

  • An eye for well-designed emails and landing pages
