Digital Asset Project Manager

  • Full-time

Company Description

We believe the economy is better when everyone has access. When everyone has room to grow. No one should be left out because the cost is too great or the technology too complex. We started with a little white credit card reader but haven’t stopped there. We’re empowering the independent electrician to send invoices, setting up the favorite food truck with a delivery option, helping the ice cream shop pay its employees, and giving the burgeoning coffee chain capital for a second, third, and fourth location. We’re here to help sellers of all sizes start, run, and grow their business—and helping them grow their business is good business for everyone.

Job Description

As Digital Asset Project Manager you deliver marketing images that communicate how Square software works, worldwide. You manage the development of image assets depicting more than twenty software products across multiple locales and languages. Your communication skills and your detail management are your greatest assets as you work to identify needs, collaborate with partners across the organization to get the details right, and delegate to a team of production designers to build your final assets.

You will:

  • Work with designers and project managers to scope marketing screen asset needs for in-progress projects for web, print, app store, digital ads, and more.

  • Communicate directly with product marketing managers, product designers, globalization ops partners, international marketing managers, international product managers, legal, and any other partner that can help you get the details right.

  • Work with digital production designers (who build screen assets), retouchers (who place them into photographs), and asset management (to house and share completed screens)

  • Partner with video producers creating their own screen content, especially as it aligns with your own deliverables (product launches, campaigns)

  • Maintain a library of cleared fictitious content with which to depict software interactions: fictitious business identities (names, logos, items, services, prices), and fictitious customer identities (names, addresses, phone numbers, and email).

  • Manage content details for each screen asset: UI text, fictitious merchant/customer information, photography, transactions, etc.

  • Manage translations and other changes across locales (currency, prices, taxes, plus variances in product due to regulations or roadmap).

  • Manage creation and localization of additional screen assets as requested by other teams communicating on behalf of Square (Comms, Sales, Support, etc.)

  • Juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping importance and urgency.

  • Manage work tasks and communication across timezones using JIRA, Slack, Google Docs.

  • Ship quickly. Find new efficiencies. Keep an eye on the small stuff. Make it work.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Solid working experience managing the creation of production-ready assets for digital and print

  • Skill at managing details of ever-increasing complexity and scale.

  • An ability to communicate clearly with peers and across disciplines.

  • An eagerness to try (and adopt) new applications and working methods.

  • A dedication to delivering great work.

Even better:

  • Specific experience managing software screen assets for marketing

  • Experience managing projects across languages and locales
