Job Description
Square Payroll is the easiest way for small businesses to pay their employees. Our customers love our product because it gives them a simple way to pay their teams and removes the hassle of paying payroll taxes. Our team loves working on Payroll because were a nimble, full stack team with a lot of passion to build a remarkable Payroll product and business.
We are hiring a Business Operations Analyst to grow the Square Payroll Sales organization. This person will build the strategy, analytics, reporting, processes, and tools to dramatically accelerate our sales team performance against ambitious targets. We are smart, scrappy, fun, and committed to making our sales team and product enormously successful.
You will:
Identify tools, processes and automation that will improve the sales processes, then build and implement them in partnership with Sales & Marketing Engineering
Automate time-intensive sales tasks with batch processes
Maintain existing and build new ETLs and dashboards
Regularly evaluate the efficiency of each sales channel and/or lead source, and advise the sales and marketing teams on where to focus to maximize returns
Own data quality in Salesforce and maintain a high level of data integrity
Own the Sales team metrics, reporting and dashboards we use to run the business
Drive the analyses that steer the sales org including compensation and quotas, lead generation and management, market coverage and segmentation, customer onboarding and retention, and ad hoc analyses
Build strong cross-functional relationships with other teams (i.e. Business Systems, Sales Marketing Engineering, Core Sales and Account Management) in order to build tools and stand-up cross-sell processes
Qualifications
You have:
Bachelors degree, with major in analytical or technical field strongly preferred
2-4 years sales or business operations experience, ideally with some time supporting a growing small to medium sized sales team, and owning the lead to close lifecycle
In-depth experience with Salesforce required and knowledge of best practices, along with proficiency in Salesforce reporting and dashboards including custom report types, filters, formula fields, dynamic dashboards and dashboard filters, Salesforce Admin Certification a plus
Experienced in SQL and one or more of the following: ETL development, Python, Data Visualization Software (Looker, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, complex analyses, and models
Experience with variable sales compensation and quota setting/forecasting a plus
Self-motivation with the desire for ownership and ability to operate independently in a fast paced/changing environment while working collaboratively across multiple functions
Attention to detail and accuracy, excellent analytical and financial modeling mindset, with ability to succinctly interpret data
