Job Description

The Square Professional Services team owns the final stages of the sales funnel, working with merchants to drive the deal through to close and accelerate the onboarding process. In this role you will leverage deep product and industry knowledge to project-manage the onboarding stage of the sales process. This is a customer-facing role that involves a combination of remote and onsite merchant interactions. We are hiring for our first UK based Square Professional Services Associate.


  1. provide an incredible onboarding experience for merchants

  2. accelerate the sales cycle by specializing onboarding and training

  3. develop new efficiencies to shorten onboarding sales stage.

You will:

  • Shape Square Professional Services best practices, onboarding and training

  • Drive deals through to close for deals needing onboarding assistance

  • Execute against the onboarding process and training curriculum to hold merchants accountable to a go-live timeline

A typical day in the Square Professional Services team:

  • Remote merchant work: phone consults, advising on hardware/software/operations, staff training, menu building, account optimization

  • Occasional onsite merchant work, including but not limited to hardware install and training

  • Data entry: Configuring customer account, optimizing menu setup, and other data entry tasks involved in getting a merchant on-boarded


You have:

  • 1-2 years experience in a customer facing role

  • Previous Project Management experience a plus

  • Excellent organisation, collaboration, written and verbal skills

  • A passion and knowledge about how new technologies can help better serve businesses of all sizes

  • A strong desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging and exciting environment

  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
