Job Description

The Business Operations Lead will manage overall planning, budgeting and operations for Marketing, Sales, Partnerships and International. Reporting directly to the head of these combined organizations, this individual will drive critical strategic, analytical, and operational initiatives designed to increase productivity, efficiency and effectiveness across the group. In addition, this individual will help accelerate our go-to-market efforts. We are looking for someone who has deep technical expertise in data tools and platform, and the ability to provide strategic and proactive guidance that sets the team up for success.

You will:

  • Identify, scope and drive priority initiatives including goal setting, annual / quarterly planning, budgeting, competitive assessment and market segmentation across organization

  • Partner with Finance organization to maintain accurate and actionable budgets and forecasts for organization

  • Develop and implement regular and consistent reporting and analysis of key performance metrics across investments and activities across teams

  • Evaluates results against expected performance and collaborate with individual teams to develop optimization recommendations

  • Together with Finance, define consistent approach to modeling to forecast revenues, profits, and ROI, during annual and quarterly planning

  • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends and go-to-market best practices to inform strategies and tactics across teams

  • Proactively build global systems and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of our business and key value drivers to identify growth opportunities

  • Partner with teams to build business cases for potential investments

  • Work with Business Intelligence, Marketing Analytics and Sales Operations to ensure that data, analytics and dashboards required for operation of organization are resourced and set in place

  • Drive understanding of customer journeys, customer segment behaviors, channel efficiency and cross channel attribution

  • Develop and present operational insights and recommendations, and drive implementation of those recommendations with a diverse array of cross-functional partners

  • Perform strategic value-added analyses around business growth opportunities

  • Keep functions accountable to goals and committed actions

Qualifications

You have:

  • Experience developing complex GTM and revenue and return models for high growth businesses

  • Proven statistical analysis and modeling experience with expertise in analytical techniques and their applications to marketing, sales and business metrics

  • Ability to translate quantitative data into actionable business recommendations and communicate complex data concepts in ways that organization will understand

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Salesforce and data visualization tools

  • Excellent understanding of business practices related to marketing, sales and business development

  • Strong communication skills

  • Distinctive problem-solving and project management skills

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to successfully navigate and influence within a complex business environment; ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure

  • Empathetic to the daily rigor and short term demands of an acquisition organization and able to tie these to long term, strategic initiatives

  • Experience managing a team, direct and matrixed

  • 10+ years of experience
