Job Description

The Deploy team is responsible for providing a safe and reliable orchestration platform to allow Square engineers to manage their services. We collaborate with other platform teams to provide a rich environment integrating physical hardware, network components, service discovery, data stores, build systems, and security. Our current and upcoming projects include support for Docker containers, building out our next generation platform with Kubernetes, and extending deployments into the cloud.

You Will:

  • Design and build the future of putting code on machines at Square

  • Write software to integrate deployment orchestration with internal platform components

  • Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to further the reliability and security of Square

  • Collaborate with product teams to understand their infrastructure needs

  •  Lead greenfield development of software to manage multiple Kubernetes clusters

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience developing scalable production services

  • Strong programming experience in Go

  • Experience with Linux production systems

  • Experience managing Kubernetes installations
