As an Interactive Designer, youll be responsible for crafting beautiful experiences for the web within the Creative Team at Square. We pride ourselves in finding simplicity, structure and meaning in a complex and ever-evolving product ecosystem. On a day to day basis, youll collaborate with the rest of the design team to launch initiatives across all aspects of the company, including Squares software, hardware, and services. Youll actively contribute to product strategy, and be able to work across product teams, brand, marketing, and business to create the best interactive experiences for our merchants around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Work through complex design problems to create beautiful and thoughtful interactions for our marketing web platform

• Demonstrate an expertise in typography, composition, layout, design thinking, and content strategy in the design solutions you create

• Consider UX from a user journey level across several brand touchpoints, as well as within specific interactions

• Design at a systems level, where components can be re-used and built to scale, optimized across different screen sizes and devices

• Iterate quickly and communicate ideas across various levels of fidelity, with the ability to receive feedback constructively as well as provide feedback to other’s work

• Collaborate effectively with engineering teams, cross-functional partners (like Insights, Analytics, Web Strategy, and Product), as well as with Creative leadership

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience designing for web / product

• 4 year design (or related) degree is preferred but not necessarily required
