Job Description

As a Full-Stack Engineer on Square's eCommerce Monetization team, you will be responsible for building the systems that power all of the purchase flows, subscriptions and 3rd party billing integrations for Squares rapidly developing e-commerce product. You will be working with a small group of talented engineers to design, build and A/B test the full-stack from the checkout experience to backend services.

You will:

  • Build and refine the full purchase experience
  • Design data models to support application features
  • Build APIs used by apps and other services
  • Take an active role in suggesting and implementing new A/B tests
  • Share ownership of the product

Qualifications

You have:

  • Experience building and maintaining complicated web applications
  • Desire to build products that are core to driving business success
  • Understanding of industry best practices in regards to credit card handling and security
  • Track record of pursuing self-directed side projects, research, or open source projects
  • 5+ years of industry experience
