Square is looking for a seasoned marketer to continue building our Partner Marketing team, and deliver on marketing activities and programs to support Squares growing partner ecosystem.
This role is a combination of team leadership, strategic planning and hands-on marketing work. You will be responsible for inspiring, leading and developing our team of passionate Partner Marketing Managers to build awareness for Squares Partner Platform, run creative marketing campaigns to deliver new sellers for Square and our partners, and strengthen the relationships our partners have with Square. Partner Marketing owns co-marketing for our Square App Marketplace partners, which range from large global companies (such as Intuit QuickBooks, SAP, BigCommerce and Magento) and up-and-coming tech startups (such as Checkfront, Schedulicity and SimpleTix).
You are passionate about driving a mature marketing team, have a deep understanding of GTM strategy for audience segments ranging from Micro to Enterprise sellers, and have strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders. You will treat our sellers, our partners and their customers with courtesy, and be passionate about delivering successful co-marketing campaigns for Square and our partners.
The Partnerships Marketing Lead is someone with a strong background in integrated marketing and campaign strategy, team leadership, process and operations, negotiation, stakeholder and relationship management. Youll thrive in rallying your team to deliver on large-scale campaigns, enjoy a fast-paced and innovative environment, and have the ability to get your hands dirty, respond and adapt quickly to change.
Team leadership: Lead, motivate, inspire and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals.
Relationship building: Build strong, trusting relationships with cross-functional colleagues and Square partners to support our shared success. Youll help Square be a favored company with which to partner, by building marketing and communications programs that energize our partner ecosystem.
Partner Marketing programs: Own the Partner Marketing strategy, then build and scale co-marketing programs with partners through a mix of owned, earned and paid media channels. Youll be innovative and able to think outside-the-box to fast-track the growth of Square and our partners.

Priorities may change, last-minute requests may come in youll be fast on your feet and think creatively in to solve challenges and meet our partnership objectives through prioritization and resource management.
Project management and prioritization: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and develop complementary short-term and long-term engagement plans. Youre adept at working cross-functionally with many stakeholders in order to manage expectations, communicate timelines and details.
Ever-changing environment: Comfortable working with large-scale global partners, while also nurturing partners and marketing programs that are in their infancy.
Co-marketing narrative development: Strong sense of narrative and campaign development. You can craft, refine, document and report on joint narratives that showcase Square, our partners, and our shared value propositions.
Data driven decision making: Work with our analytics team to implement a robust measurement system to demonstrate your teams impact, then use insights to optimize initiatives and report back on performance.
8+ years of experience in marketing. Experience in partner marketing is preferred, but not essential.
Strong experience across all marketing channels, specifically email marketing, content marketing, database marketing, social media and more.
Excellent people management skills, with proven experience in building trust, leading, coaching and inspiring a team.
Influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
A balance of analytical skills and creative ideation.
BA/BS degree required (or equivalent practical experience), Masters degree optional.
Experience in platforms including Contentful, Adobe Creative Suite, DoubleClick Campaign Manager, Looker, Marketo, and Salesforce.
Experience working with successful partnership networks including technology companies (integrators, resellers, agencies), payment networks or financial institutions, trade groups and business advisory boards.
A background in marketing for a technology or finance company.
