The Point of Sale Platform team is responsible for foundational pieces of the iOS, Android and Square proprietary mobile solutions (including the well known checkout experience) that enable Square Sellers to accept payments and run their businesses in all the markets we operate in. We are also responsible for many of the platform capabilities that power all of Square’s Point of Sale and Terminal solutions. As a Senior Product Manager for Square Point of Sale Platform, you will be responsible for driving product initiatives from inception through execution. In this role you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, analysts, and other cross-functional partners across Square to ensure that our platform accelerates the development of new solutions that delight our sellers and grow with them as their businesses expand. In this highly visible role, you will own some of most iconic/recognizable pieces of the Square point of sale solution.
Develop seller empathy in multiple markets to build features to meet current and future needs
Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve short and long term goals. You will be responsible for outlining entire roadmaps and project requirements, goals, and constraints.
Represent the team with cross functional partners and senior company leaders in order to align resources and prioritization
Drive the creation of platform capabilities that are delightful, scalable and remarkable
Define features, write product and technical specs, facilitate user studies, iterate on feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and ultimately ship in a timely manner
Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA to foster strong team dynamics
Ensure your team is prioritizing appropriately and synthesize trade-offs that must be made
A track record of shipping and iterating on successful products with cross-functional teams
Prior experience building complex full-stack products, ideally in mobile; Prior experience as an engineer or in the ecommerce/retail or payments industry is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership, the ability to drive product strategy and work well with senior engineers and designers.
An analytical and metrics driven work style that leverages data to make informed decisions

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and prioritization skills
5+ years of product management experience or equivalent
