Job Description

The Live Operations team exists to ensure every Caviar delivery goes as smoothly as possible. On demand food delivery is an incredibly difficult logistical challenge. By shepherding troubled orders and monitoring the logistical health of all Caviar markets, we strive to make every diner experience remarkably unremarkable.

Caviar is looking for a Team Lead who can manage our Live Operations Specialists and drive team performance and results. Youll work with the Live Operations Lead to help each team member achieve their greatest potential through hands-on coaching and development. You will use data skills to prepare the team to meet future challenges, raising the bar for decision-making and analytics within Live Operations.

By fostering the growth and development of team members, you will help both Live Operations Specialists and the entire Live Operations team have meaningful cross-functional business impact. You will plan and execute special projects that create measurable improvement in team effectiveness.

You will:

  • Lead a team of Live Operations Specialists guaranteeing the success of Caviar orders.

  • Make data-based recommendations for improving team processes and tools

  • Hold regular 1:1s with all team members to build trust and keep an open ear to the needs of the team

  • Monitor performance metrics and coach individual team members on continuous improvement

  • Maintain team operations for a 7-day/week business

  • Collaborate closely with Caviars Local Markets, Operations, and Product teams to analyze and solve partner needs, communicate best practices, and inform our business and product roadmap

Qualifications

  • Expertise in data analytics. Excel/Sheets a must, SQL nice to have

  • Experience leading teams, with preferred direct management experience

  • A proven ability to get things done, manage your time and prioritize for impact

  • A knack for designing your efforts to scale through smart process and collaboration

  • The judgment to operate autonomously while collaborating closely with others

  • Experience working cross-functionally across roles and geographies

  • Strong communication skills including active listening and the ability to persuade others, as well as consistently keeping team members and stakeholders aligned

  • A deep love of amazing food, restaurants, and the desire to consistently provide an exceptional experience to stakeholders and customers, both internally and externally
