Job Description

Operations Technical Program Manager is responsible for the technical activities, mainly on process and yield improvement for sustaining projects. This role is also expected to be involved in NPI activities to learn the product for Design for Manufacturing at early stages and provide feedback to Engineering teams about compatibility between product design and process feasibility. You will lead CM teams by driving process improvement, issue investigation and resolution to ensure good quality products, efficient production and process. Ops TPM is expected to understand the technical details of factory/manufacturing issues and risks, while also having the mindset to ensure product quality. This will enable you to set the proper priorities and put risk mitigation plans in place.

 You will:

  • Drive manufacturing efficiency and yield improvements for sustaining products

  • Work cross-functionally with the internal engineering teams and Square's manufacturing partners to ensure products are successfully developed and produced through production

  • Work with engineering teams during development to prepare for EVT, DVT, PVT, Ramp production process, including factory support & build-readiness preparation

  • Lead Post-Ramp Qualification activities, DOE, FA activities

  • Work with cross functional teams and CMs to solve problem, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

  • Build strong relationships with CM’s to ensure deliverables are on track and all engineering requirements are being met, and to ensure high quality

  • BS ME/EE/CE degree preferred

  • 7+ years of industry experience

  • Ability to travel to Contract Manufacturing partners

  • Strong/Proven skills and experience of SMT, Assembly, Test, and Pack-out processes, DOE, FA

  • Knowledge about Quality, Process vs Product compatibility from NPI stages

  • Leadership for manufacturing process improvement on efficiency and quality

  • Experience on technical actions/criteria from NPI through Sustaining phases

  • Experience of Design and Debug manufacturing equipment and Fixtures

  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills across teams and CMs for issue study and solution

  • Experience with consumer electronics devices preferred
