Job Description

We are looking for a strategic, creative and results-oriented individual to lead Product Marketing efforts for our international markets. You'll work with Squares across the company to create and launch products that fit the needs of our international sellers, and collaborate with country teams on growing adoption and retention post launch. You'll bring organization and structure to cross-functional initiatives that advance product goals internationally, and act as a conduit of best practices and process efficiency across multiple teams in distributed locations. You're relentlessly resourceful, and passionate about representing the voice of our international sellers in product strategy discussions and decisions, so they can fully participate in the remarkable product ecosystem that we're building at Square.

You will:

  • Drive international product marketing decisions and launch processes across multiple markets, in partnership with product and country teams

  • Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion, and build supporting business cases for our international markets

  • Understand customer needs by analyzing product usage and behavioral data, as well as conducting user interviews and surveys

  • Review competitive offerings and drive ongoing differentiation for our products

  • Develop key value props and product positioning that will resonate with the target market

  • Create efficiencies around go-to-market planning and resourcing for launches in multiple markets to ensure country teams are set up for success

  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, partnerships, sales, account management, support, and content counterparts to deliver on cross-functional strategies and product goals

Qualifications

You have:

  • A Bachelors Degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience working in product marketing, B2B / B2C / lifecycle marketing, or similar go-to-market experience through a strategy consulting or other background

  • Strong quantitative analytical ability and excellent written and oral communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and presentations to senior leadership

  • Previous experience using database (SQL) and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker)

  • Self-starter attitude and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand

  • An ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up environment

  • Nice to have: familiarity with international markets, background in fintech, experience working with small businesses
