The Square Marketing team works to acquire new Square sellers through self-service and lead generation campaigns and strategies. We’re looking for a Database and Lead Gen marketing specialist to help build robust lead generation programs to support our growing organization.
You will be responsible for lead gen operations, database management, email and syndication programs, and email and landing page development. You’ll oversee the growth of our database of addressable prospective leads -- working to build out automated marketing programs to warm and nurture upper funnel leads through sales activation. This role requires a strong understanding of marketing automation systems, an eye for design, and the ability to debug programmatic issues.
You’ll work cross functionally with our Marketing team (paid, content, events, SEO and retail) channel campaigns as well as fulfill internal ad hoc requests from product teams such as building custom email campaigns, landing pages, and executing marketing ops and sales enablement projects. In this role you will be expected to be a strong cross-functional partner serving as an internal lead generation expert for each request.

Grow prospect database of addressable leads, and ensure database cleanliness against existing/former customer databases
Define and implement automated and one-off or multi-tiered email campaigns to nurture prospective leads down the conversion funnel
Assist with the oversight of all marketing automation programs -- including marketing scoring models, nurturing flows and rules, and company-wide best practices
Collaborate and fulfil ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders
Write creative briefs, manage content and creative asset development. Additionally, manage the development of landing pages, emails, programs and other marketing collateral via marketing automation platform
Help measure and analyze campaign performance to inform ongoing marketing strategy
2-4 years of post-university work experience and a BA/BS in a related field such as business, marketing or communications
A love of data and can analyze a marketing funnel; you can identify and size different growth opportunities and the various ways to meet them
First-hand, in-depth experience with Marketo, Salesforce, and marketing operations
Experience working cross-functionally with creatives, engineers, analysts and product managers
An energetic and willing attitude
Marketo and Salesforce experience
HTML & CSS
An eye for well-designed emails and landing pages
Experience in B2B or Fintech marketing
