Job Description

Were looking for a self-starting, creative, and data-driven leader to join Square as a Growth Marketing Manager working with Square Capital, Square's lending group. The Growth Marketing Manager will own the strategy and execution of our paid, earned, and owned channels to drive growth for Square's business lending products. This is a highly collaborative role that will partner across functions including product, engineering, data, sales, and design to take our lending products to the next level. The Growth Marketing Manager will have a strong emphasis on analyzing our marketing and product funnels and creating a testing strategy to systematically improve performance across channels. This person will also oversee creation, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across email, paid media, in-product, and offline channels.

You will:

  • Lead the ideation and execution of campaigns that drive growth for our lending business, partnering closely with product, engineering, data, design, copy, channel managers, and marketing operations

  • Set ambitious growth and retention targets and develop quarterly marketing plans to meet them

  • Have a holistic understanding of the entire purchase funnel across marketing and product touchpoints

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and the entire Capital team to develop new products and enhance existing products, ensuring that the voice of the customer is always represented through customer development research

  • Partner with design and copywriters to develop clear, compelling, and differentiated marketing collateral across channels

  • Develop a cross-channel demand generation strategy including audience segmentation, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and optimization

  • Generate data-driven hypotheses for improving marketing performance, design and execute A/B tests, and apply knowledge of basic statistics (e.g. sample size, significance) to separate signal from noise

  • Drive overall marketing strategy from forecasting, budgeting, and planningto resource allocation, prioritization, campaign execution, optimization, and reporting

  • Analyze findings, report on KPIs, and present recommendations to a broader group of stakeholders week over week to drive visibility around incremental funnel optimizations

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • 3+ years in growth, product marketing, or other analytical role
  • Advanced skills in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g Looker) Excel, and Google Sheets
  • Exceptional organization
  • Demonstrated track record developing and executing A/B tests, analyzing and translating data into business and consumer insights
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement with the ability to take an idea and bring it to life with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Marketo, Iterable, Salesforce, and Optimizely a plus
