The Product Globalization team supports bringing Square products to global markets. Our goal is to continue building upon the US success by delivering innovative, simple, and remarkable experiences to our customers around the globe. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Project Manager to join our fun, fast-paced team. Come help us shape and deliver Square products globally!
In this role, you will be responsible for driving feature enhancements to our translation platform from inception through execution. You will also work with product teams to localize products for international markets. In this role you will work closely with engineers, product managers, product marketing managers and other cross functional team members to ensure that our products continue to delight our customers globally.
Identify and analyze current stakeholder needs and pain points in workflows and translation platform to define vision and strategy for our translation platform
Create and drive product roadmap for the translation platform
Define and document requirements for new platform features
Collaborate with engineers to build features for platform
Engage and build relationships with cross functional teams and stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success) to evangelize localization and internationalization best practices and advocate for international product and feature needs
Lead and drive localization projects to the next level from efficiency, quality to cost perspective
Identify and establish key metrics to track performance and identify opportunities for improvements
5+ years of experience in localization and internationalization
5+ years of project management experience
Experience with localization platforms
Strong leadership and analytical skills in combination with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Self-driven and relentlessly detail-oriented
Passionate about delivering Square products and features to international markets
Outstanding organizational skills: ability to handle multiple projects for multiple locales simultaneously
Ability to identify requirements and prioritize key deliverables
Experience with various project management methodologies and tools
Excellent team player in a fast-paced, diverse team
Ability to communicate at a technical level and able to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical stakeholders
Innate drive to problem-solve
Engineering or Computer Science degree
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology for software development
Non-English language proficiency is a plus (French, Spanish, and Japanese)
